Gangtok, the money of Sikkim because the mid-19th century, sprawls down the west facet of a lengthy ridge flanking the Ranipul river. The scenery from this hill town is spectacular and you can find exceptional views of the entire Kanchenjunga Variety from several factors inside the city. North of Gangtok will be the Enchey Gompa as well as the telecommunication tower. The palace from the former Chogyal, or ruler of Sikkim, plus the spectacular Royal Chapel are reduced down along the ridge. Gangtok can be a rather common hill station resort with numerous good motels filled with visitors from all more than the country.
